The Dec 16th Gang Rape in Delhi paralyzed and rebooted the conscience of the entire nation. It was a brutal reminder that despite 65 years of independence, Indian women are still not safe. The flashdance was performed in New Delhi on Jan 26, 2013.
Security of women in India is a matter of extreme urgency, even more so than economic prosperity. It requires deterrent laws, better policing, higher conviction rates and also a change in the social mindset. The society has to learn to respect women. The Delhi Flash Mob hopes to sensitize the public on this issue.
Let us resolve to respect and protect women.
